The Petersen’s Farm is a little patch of paradise north of Woolooga, which is 45kms north-west of Gympie. Petersen’s Farm has established a reputation for making previously hard-to-find ingredients available to our community. They have built strong relationships with their customers directly and have through the years become a proud supplier to chefs, restaurants, food processors and manufacturers, produce retailers and bulk growing for specific communities.
Greg Petersen comes from a long line of farmers, and he is a proud fourth-generation member of his family. In 1998, his family relocated from North Brisbane to Woolooga, where they continue their passion for producing high-quality crops. Greg takes immense pride in their farm’s work and the quality of the produce they bring to market.
Petersen’s Farm has become known for being the only commercial grower of Rosellas (hibiscus sabdariffa) in South East Queensland.
They also grow a large range of fruit and vegetables that are in direct demand and purpose grown – that means little waste! Through building long lasting relationships with their customers they have established a strong collaboration with other local farmers, producers and businesses, allowing them to continue to invest in local employment and connect with the local community.
Greg and CC are known for their commitment to sustainability and community, have implemented numerous initiatives to reduce their environmental footprint and give back to the community.
Petersen’s Farm is the home of the annual Big Rosella Field Day that has celebrated all things rosella since 2016.
